From the Battlefield to Preparedness: Why I Founded Always Be Ready USA
Hi, I’m Uly, a 21-year Air Force veteran and the proud founder of Always Be Ready USA. After two decades of military service and traveling the world, I’ve seen firsthand how unpreparedness can turn a bad situation into a devastating one. From war zones to disaster-stricken areas, the first to suffer are always those who weren’t ready for the unexpected.
Here’s my story and why I’m so passionate about helping others prepare for emergencies.
A Life of Service and Experience
I spent much of my military career as an air advisor, working closely with foreign military sales (FMS) cases and deploying multiple times to the Middle East. Those deployments shaped me profoundly. While serving in high-stress environments, I witnessed the devastating impact of unpreparedness on communities—whether due to conflict, natural disasters, or infrastructure collapse.
During my last deployment, I faced my own battles, leading to a PTSD diagnosis. I’m now a proud disabled veteran. This journey reinforced my mission: to continue serving by helping others prepare for emergencies, disasters, and the unpredictable.
The Mission Behind Always Be Ready USA
After retiring from the Air Force, I couldn’t ignore what I’d seen. Time and again, it became clear that preparedness is the key to survival. Unfortunately, too many people—especially here in the U.S.—aren’t ready for even minor emergencies, let alone large-scale disasters or societal breakdowns.
That’s why I started Always Be Ready USA. I wanted to create a resource where people could find reliable, high-quality emergency supplies, survival gear, and preparedness tools. My goal is to ensure no American suffers due to lack of preparation.
